He was born in Altoona, son of Clarence and Helena (Gates) Appleman. He married DeRonda Snow. Surviving are his wife; two children: Jeremy and Ashley; three grandchildren; a sister, Gwen Patierno; and a brother, "Pepper" Appleman.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2007, at Presbyterian Cemetery, Williamsburg. Arrangements are by Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.
