Sandra "Sandy" Naidene Dobson, 80, of Oklahoma City, went home to be with Jesus peacefully on Monday, July 11, 2022. Sandy was born November 7, 1941 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Richard and Betty (McAnelly) Bilyeu. She graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa and attended Oklahoma State University, where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority, which is a legacy she passed down to her daughter and granddaughter. Sandy worked for the school system in Tulsa and later for Putnam City Schools so she could always be home with her daughters on holidays and in the summer. She retired from Putnam City Schools in 2009, where she had a varied career as an in-school suspension teacher where she loved working with the kids and finally as the insurance coordinator where she enjoyed helping teachers navigate their insurance benefits. Most recently, she lived in a 55+ community at the Album where she was very happy. She made many friends and enjoyed socializing, playing Bingo and Pokeno and picking the movies for movie days. Her Album family called her a spitfire and a joy and all enjoyed watching her race around on her red scooter. She especially loved being on the welcome committee where she could meet and greet new people. She was a beautiful lady who was always patient and positive with a smile on her face and a kind word to say, a great listener and had a way of making everyone she met feel special! Sandy was a wonderful Mom to Angel and Lisa, always encouraging them and was a vibrant light and treasure in their lives. And she always felt blessed by her son-in-law, Byron, whom she loved like the son she never had. She was also a loving and involved "Gmi" to her grandkids – she taught Olivia to knit and they shared a love for all things crafty, she went or listened to all of Blake's baseball games (yelling for a "two-baser") and she loved reading to Davis at the Children's Center. She also loved her "grandpups" Snow Pea, Nala and Cinnamon, and always carried dog treats for any pup she met. Sandy lived a life of deep faith and belief in Jesus Christ. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother David Bilyeu and Jim Dobson, friend for life and father to her daughters. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Dobson of OKC; Angela and her husband Byron Seefeldt of Edmond and their children, Olivia, Davis and Blake Seefeldt; her sister-in-law, Janet Bilyeu of Florida and her nephews Craig Bilyeu of Florida and Layne Bilyeu of Maryland and many friends and extended family from the Bilyeu, Dobson and Seefeldt clans.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2pm Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Bill Merritt Funeral Service.
