Mrs. Florence Fields, wife of S. J. Fields, died at her residence, 111 South Sixth street, Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock, of spinal meningitis. She had only been sick for about a week, but had suffered considerably.

 

She was born in Jasper county, Iowa, March 3, 1882. Was educated in the schools at Des Moines, Iowa, and graduated from Drake university at Des Moines. In June 1906, she came to North Yakima and on June 15, 1906, married S. J. Fields. Mr. Fields is an electrician and has been employed by the Northwest Light & Water company for the last two years. Mrs. Field's maiden name was Florence Lear.

 

The deceased is survived by a mother, who has lived with her since she was married last June, and two sisters in Des Moines. The body will be shipped to Des Moines for burial in the family lot. Her husband and mother will accompany the body east. Flint-Shaw company have charge of the body.
