Carl H. Powell, 73, of 601 Jarvis Rd., Akron 19, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 1977 in Akron General Medical Center after a long illness.

Born in Arcadia, Pennsylvania, he had lived in Akron over 45 years. After 37 1/2 years of service with Goodyear, he retired eleven years ago. He was a member of Akron Baptist Temple and the Goodyear 25-Year Club. Mr. Powell and his wife, Alma, would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on March 21.

Along with his wife, the former Alma J. Barr; he leaves sons, Rev. Howard D. Powell, Associate Pastor at the Akron Baptist Temple, Richard and Ralph Powell, all of Akron; daughter, Mrs. Romaine (Bernice) Watson of West Salem, Ohio; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brother, Ray Powell of Bowderton, PA.

Akron Baptist Temple will hold services on Friday at 1 p.m. with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
