Veteran of WWI & WWII
Enlisted in 1914 in 8th Battalion Winnipeg Rifles C.E.F. (Little Black Devils of Canada). Wounded and invalided home, but recovered and returned to France with a Forestry Corp.
In 1939 he recruited men in British Columbia, Canada for the Forestry Corp. Invalided out due to illness in 1941.
