Most of his life was spent in Douglas Township part of Jackson County, Kansas. From birth to age 44 (1930), that is his recorded residence. I do not have a record of the marriage but the first child, Minerva, was born in 1914 and the second child, TreAlice, in 1915.

In 1930, Leslie is living in Topeka, working as a laborer, doing odd jobs. Getrude and the children are there also. In 1940 (age 54), he is living in Topeka with his parents, and working at a rock quarry. Gertrude and the children are not living with him.

He is recorded as passing away June 14, 1951, in Napa County, California. I have not found any records to fill in the blank space in-between 1940, and his passing.
