Ruby was born July 15, 1929, in Gallatin, Missouri to Alfred and Nellie (Baker) Creekmore. She was part of a large and loving family that included 2 brothers, Alfred and George, and 4 sisters, Nellie May, Evelyn, Rilla, and Bernice.
Ruby graduated from Gallatin High School in 1947. She married Wayne Teel on July 22, 1947, in Gallatin. Ruby worked at the Stride Rite Shoe Factory for many years until its closing. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was often found at her grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's school and extracurricular activities. She loved to go places and visit people and was often seen out walking or sitting on her porch. She loved to cook and often cooked and baked for her family. She loved to bring her grandchildren and great-grandchildren cookies. Ruby was a member of the Christian Church in Gallatin.
Ruby is survived by a large family that adored her including her husband Wayne of the home, four children, Sandy Dickson of Gallatin, Donald Teel of Gallatin, Debbie Freeman of Albany, and Terry Teel of Gallatin, 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and five children, Jimmy Teel, Mickey Moulton, Barb Ritcherson, Rick Teel, and Janet Gabbard.
Ruby always had a smile and a kind word for everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Gallatin First Christian Church in care of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 14, 2022, at the First Christian Church in Gallatin. The family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the services at Hillcrest Cemetery in Gallatin. Arrangements entrusted to the care and direction of Stith Funeral Home in Gallatin. (660) 663-2117.
