Wendell Perry Cochran passed from this life on July 05, 2022, at the age of 80 years old, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He died peacefully with his children by his side.

Wendell was born on July 29, 1941, in Lamesa, TX to Norman Palmer Cochran and Letha Mae Pratt-Cochran. He graduated from Edgewood High School in 1959, and soon after he joined the United States Marine Corps. Wendell was stationed at MCAS El Toro, CA where he made rank of Lance Corporal E-3 Rifleman. While stationed in California, he fell in love with and married his sweetheart, Jean Tiffany. They were married on September 15, 1960.

In January of 1962 Wendell and Jean moved to Edgewood, TX, where they started their family. Together they had four children, David Albert (deceased), Anita Lynn, Randy Lee, and Deborah Catherine.

Wendell loved his family and would even take them along with him on his job assignments as a pipefitter/welder with Brown and Root. Once his children were old enough to start school, he and Jean decided to settle down in LaPorte, TX. Wendell worked and retired as an Instrument Technician for Celanese Corp.

Wendell was a faithful member of Apostolic Temple in Pasadena, TX for 52 years where he was a selfless giver of both time and money. He worked as a Sunday School teacher, drove the bus for the Bus Ministry, supported Bible Quizzing, taught in the A.C.T.S. class, and taught many Bible studies.

Wendell was adventurous. He enjoyed skiing, playing baseball, golf, ski-diving, and traveling. He wanted to be able to say that he drove in all 50 states, and he did when he and his wife completed that goal in 2005.

Wendell is preceded in death by the love of his life, Jean Cochran of Houston, TX, his firstborn son, David Albert Cochran, his parents, Norman and Letha Cochran, of Edgewood, TX, his brothers Eugene Cochran of Chatsworth, CA and Donald Cochran of Canton, TX, son-in-law, Edward Lynn Wells of Daisetta, TX.
