Mrs. Margaret Ethel Foute jones, 77, widow of the late Daniel hardy Jones, Sr., passed away at her home on Third Avenue, Lenoir City, Feb. 3, 1938.
She suffered a stroke of paralysis about four weeks ago.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, at 2:00 PM at the Cumberland Presbyterian Curch and internment will be in the city cemetery.Rev. J. Miller Cook, of Nashville, a former pastor here, Rev. J.E. Dickson and Rev. J.W. Cardwell will conduct the service.Thomas Morticians will direct.
Surviving are four sons and four daughters:John W. Jones, Richmond, Aa.;C.E. Jones, Nashville;James W. Jones, Attala, Al., Dan H. Jones, Jr., Washington, DC,Mrs. John T. Blair, Loudon;Mrs. Sallie Waller, Misses Achsa and Gladys Jones, this city.Twenty grand-children and four great-grand-children survive.
Mrs. jones was born and reared in Loudon County, and lived here all of her life.She was a faithful member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and her faithfulness to her duties as a mother is attested by the fine family she reared.her husband passed away about seventeen years ago.
