SPECULATIVE that this individual is interred in Linwood Cemetery. He is reported to have died in Columbus, and the only site for burial of indigent "White" persons at that time was in what is now known as Linwood Cemetery. Reported age at time of death was 35 to 40 years, so if accurate, would have been born about 1826 to 1831.

Buster Wright's "Burials and Deaths Reported in the Columbus (Georgia) Enquirer [Newspaper], 1832-1872" (1984), p. 87, shows: HARVEY, Dr. (aged 35-40 years) died alone and indigent, of unknown causes, on 25 JUN 1866 in Columbus, Georgia (published 29 JUN 1866).

Mary Jane Galer's "COLUMBUS, GA: Lists of People, 1828-1852, and Sexton's Reports to 1866" (published in 2000) shows no burial for this man in the sexton's report for the second quarter of 1866. Thereafter, sexton periodic reports included only numbers of persons buried, without names, dates, ages, causes of death or residence status stated. The sexton began recording detailed burial records, usually including location of grave within the cemetery, in OCT 1866, so for the third quarter of 1866 (JUL, AUG, SEP), there are no known burial records having demographic details.

If this grave is in Linwood, it could be almost anywhere in the area now used for burials, as lots scattered across the cemetery were used for indigent interments.
