She is survived by: two children, Michael Lee Vest and wife Ally of West Plains, MO, and Joy Kay Barton and husband, Jessie of Alton, MO; five grandchildren, Michael, Rachael, Amber, David, and Elizabeth; five great grandchildren Amery, Justice, Nora, Nolen and Thatcher; 1 uncle, Loyd McBride of Wetumpka, Alabama; 2 Aunts, Bernice McBride of Winona MO, Lorene Hoyle Kinsley KS. She is proceeded in death by her parents, two husbands, and a very special CNA Lexi Crider.
She attended Church at Alton assembly of God as her health would allow. She was a prayer warrior and would frequently call pastor for prayer or ask him to pray for someone else. She enjoyed her children which she cherished dearly and her grandchildren who she was so proud of and loved them unconditionally. She enjoyed eating out and her Sonic slushes. She looked forward to Bingo at the Nursing home and would frequently win prizes. She always had a pretty smile and beautiful personality matching her name Joy.
Funeral services will be 2pm Monday, July 11, 2022, at the Assembly of God Church in Alton, MO, with Bro. Robert Chastain officiating, and burial following in the Vest Cemetery in Alton, MO. Visitation will be 12pm-2pm just prior to services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Alton, MO.
