On May 9, 2011, age 81 years, of Mickleton, NJ formerly of Pennsauken. Son of the late William J. and Mary (nee Ruhland) Guckes, pre-deceased by his sister Dorothy Guckes and brothers William, Albert and George Guckes, devoted uncle of William R. (Charlotte) Guckes, Jr., Joy A. (Brian) Struthers, Barbara (Richard) Poe and Linn (Scott) Schmidt; also survived by 6 great nieces, 3 great nephews, 3 great-great nieces and 5 great-great nephews.
Mr. Guckes was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the Army, and was retired from the Frigidare Division of General Motors.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation and Funeral, Friday beginning 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Merchantville, 10 W. Chapel Ave., Merchantville, NJ. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Whitemarsh, PA.
