In 1970, she was united in marriage to Albert Harris, who preceded her in death in 1990.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ralph Hollandsworth; and a sister, Gertie Noble.
Alma is survived by two sons, Gordon L. Witter, and his wife, Myrna, of Clarksville, Arkansas, and Charles E. Witter, and his wife, Ellen, of Osceola, Missouri; five grandchildren, Debbie Patterson, Jan Witter, Mike Witter, Melanie Corbett, and Lisa Erickson; fifteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Hollandsworth, of Stevensville, Montana; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born near Eldridge and then, at the age of seven, moved with her family to various places all over the country where her father could find work during the Depression. The family eventually made their home in California. She lived most of her adult years in California, and then later, after Albert's passing, she moved to Camdenton, Missouri to be closer to Gordon and Myrna. In 2003, she moved with them to Clarksville, Arkansas and made her home. Throughout her life Alma was a devoted and hardworking homemaker.
Alma made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Camdenton.
In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed all of her grandchildren.
Alma was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for us.
