Berten Kenneth Pelfrey, age 88, of McCaysville, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at his home. He was born on July 9, 1933 to the late Charlie Dred Pelfrey and Della Brown Pelfrey. He served in the United States Army, as a Corporal, during the Korean War and later worked as a spinning frame operator for Candlewick. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Evelyn Ruth Galloway Pelfrey.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 2:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Chapel. Interment will follow in the New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
