CLARION - Henry Bishop Caldwell , 75, of Liberty Street, Franklin, former Clarion resident and a retired contractor, died at 3:25 a.m. Friday in Franklin Hospital, where he had been a patient for about four weeks.

Born November 14, 1897, in Hayesville, Macon County, N.C., he was a son of Matthew Clark and Elizabeth Garrison Caldwell. He was married July 20, 1920, to the former Margaret Showers, who resides in Clarion.

He had been in the lumber business for many years in North Carolina, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Mr. Caldwell as a former member of the Presbyterian Church in Marion, N. C.
His parents and three sisters are deceased.

Friends may call at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Sunday in the funeral home with Rev. William Kemp, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Clarion and Rev. Thomas Hartle of St. Patrick Church in Franklin, officiating. Interment will be in the Clarion Cemetery
