Loretta Irene Ward, 76, of Butler, PA went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, under the care of Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia in Cabot, PA surrounded by her family.
Born September 28, 1945, in Kittanning, PA, Loretta was the daughter of the late Arnold D. Bowser and Florence (Smith) Bowser.
Loretta attended Kittanning High School and went on to work for the Liquor Control Board until her retirement in 2004. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Butler. Loretta enjoyed sewing, porcelain doll making, flower gardening, bird watching and volunteering as a lunch lady at First Baptist School.
She is survived by her 4 sons, 2 daughters: , 4 brothers, a sister, 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Ward, Jr whom she married on February 24, 1996 and who passed away on September 27, 2018 and 2 brothers: Richard and George Bowser.
All are invited to attend a visitation for Loretta on Monday, July 11, 2022, from 1-3 & 6-8 at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc. 124 E. North St. Butler, PA 16001.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 11:00AM at First Baptist Church 221 W. New Castle St., Butler, PA 16001 with Pastor David Maitland, officiating.
Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
