She was born October 9, 1941 in Hardin County to the late Theodore and Hazel Marshall Newland.
She was married to David M. Taflinger for 63 years and he survives.
Mrs. Taflinger was a retired clerk in retail. She was a simple lady, who enjoyed gardening, loved cooking for her family and cakes and pies were her specialties.
Also surviving is a son – David A. Taflinger of Lima; a daughter – Pam (Richard) Reiff of Elida; 7 grandchildren – Alyssa Taflinger; Brittney (Kiel) Pemberton; Samantha (Eric) Roth; Seth (Abby Reeb) Bridges; Amber Jahnz; Kristy (Ryan) Snoek; Travis (Katie) Reiff; 10 great grandchildren; 3 sisters – Joyce; Patty; Barb; and a special sister-in-law – Wanda Newland.
She was preceded in death by a daughter – Lisa Bridges; a grandson – Nick Taflinger and 3 brothers – Dennis, Eugene, and Donald; 3 sisters – Marilyn; Betty, and Brenda.
Private family services will be held, and entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum.
