Babbitt, Jill Ann A fabulous point of light flickered out when Dr. Jill Babbitt died unexpectedly at home on September 1, 2017, in Mukwonago, WI at the age of 68. Jill is survived by her husband, Dr. Paul Warren, of Mukwonago, WI, her daughter Sandra Warren and granddaughter Asuna of Sheboygan, WI, her daughter Luise Warren of Milwaukee, WI, and her brother Roland Sieg of Cederberg, WI. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Luise and Roland Sieg, Sr., of Mequon, WI. Jill was born on November 9, 1948, in Milwaukee, WI. She attended John Marshall High School in Milwaukee. Jill continued her education and graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee in 1972 with a BA degree in Psychology and in 1975 received an MA in Special ED/Counseling from Cardinal Stritch University, Milwaukee. In 1988 Jill completed her degree at St. George's University School of Medicine. In 1993 she married her husband Paul, a nephrologist, after completing her fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the Medical College of Wisconsin. In addition, Jill began practicing infectious diseases at St. Luke's Medical Center and St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee, WI and founded and acted as president of the Affiliated Infectious Disease Consultants of Wisconsin until her retirement in 2009. Jill believed in giving back to communities both locally and around the world. She was the president of the St. Francis Foundation, Chairman of the Wisconsin Centered Research Consortium - Research Arm Milwaukee AIDS Project 1993-2001, and participated in medical missions to Salvador Bahia, Brazil in 1993, Nicaragua in 1996, and Latvia and Lithuania in 1995. Retirement did not slow her down either. Jill and her family hosted a foreign exchange student for two years and she never lost her passion for traveling to far flung places around the world. A Catholic burial service will be officiated by Fr. Joe Bisoffi at 10:30 AM on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at the Resurrection Cemetery Chapel, 9400 W Donges Bay Road, Mequon Wisconsin 53097. A reception celebrating Jill's life will be held immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to either of Jill's favorite causes, the Milwaukee Rescue Mission or the Humane Animal Welfare Society, Waukesha, WI.
