Dean was a son of Deloris Opal (Freezeland) Bolton of Lebanon, MO., and the late Thomas Maurice East, he was born Sept. 11, 1950, in Madison County Illinois.
He married the former Barbara Jean Hennessey on July 22, 1968, in St. Charles, MO. She survives.
In addition to his wife and mother, surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Lynn and Paul Plunkett of Fieldon; three sons and daughters-in-law, Russell Dean and Mary Reynolds-East and Dale and Dia Darr-East, all of Omaha Nebraska, and Bryan Christopher and Tina East of Rosedale; nine grandchildren, Tyler Reynolds-East, Spencer Reynolds-East, Rachel Reynolds-East, Alexis, Joseph,Jordyn, and Dalten East, and Nichole and Carissa Plunkett; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Ronald East of Lebanon, Mo., and Terry and Dolly East of New Mexico; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Janice Kay Miller of Wood River and Pamela and Abran Lueras of New Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his father, on Dec. 28; a sister, Peggy Lawrence; and a brother, Michael East.
A memoril service will be conducted at 1p.m. Saturday at crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville. During his service, a remembrance of his father will also take place. The Rev. Thomas Thacker of the Belivers Babtist Church in Carrollton will officiate. As per his request, his body was cremated.
