Frances Alexander Obituary
Frances Palmer Alexander
February 26, 1930 - May 30, 2023
Charlotte, North Carolina - Frances Palmer Alexander passed peacefully into the Lord's arms on May 30, 2023, in Charlotte at age 93. She was born February 26, 1930, in Morganton, NC and moved with her parents, Dr. James Palmer and Dr. Belle Werline Palmer, to Charlotte when they opened their Optometry practice. Frankie graduated from Central High School where she served as class president, treasurer, and Central HS Letter Girl. She attended the Women's College of UNC, majoring in Dietetics. After college and several years with an architectural firm, Frankie went to work at Heathcote Ltd., a furnishings contractor and design company. Frankie and her late husband, C. Heath Alexander, will be remembered by many in the Charlotte community as long-time residents of Myers Park and members of Christ Episcopal Church, Hawthorne Lane UMC, and the Charlotte Country Club. They were frequent patrons of The Venus restaurant in Dilworth and easily recognizable around town for their classic rebuilt cars and Siberian huskies.

As a devoted follower of Christ, Frankie had an insatiable appetite for studying God's Word. This led her to serve as a children's leader and treasurer in Community Bible Study for many years, where she developed deep foundational relationships with many women. She found ways to bring encouragement to all with her sincere compliments or kind words. Frankie was incredibly creative and passionate about interior design, and she loved all things crafty. She truly displayed a spirit of generosity and kindness with her willingness to always help a friend in need. Her family often described her like the Energizer Bunny or the Ajax White Tornado!

Frankie's selfless spirit, her creative ability, sincere and good heart, her love of the Lord, plus a positive, fun personality will be cherished by all who knew her, especially by her children: Lester Todd and wife, Cindy, of Pierson FL, Brenda Todd Stryszko and husband, Don and H. Heath Alexander and wife, Lisa, all of Charlotte. She is also survived by her brother, Jim Palmer and wife, Janet of Dahlonega GA and brother-in-law, "Pete" Baucom of New London NC, 8 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. While she will be missed, her family is comforted that in Heaven she is reunited with her husband, C. Heath Alexander; sisters Mrs. JoAnn Baucom of Fairmont NC and Mrs. Mitzi Belle Robertson and husband, Richard Robertson, of Loganville GA, as well as her grandson, Judd Stryszko.

Frankie enjoyed the company and sweet, helpful nature of the staff at The Sanctuary of Stonehaven, where she spent the last few years of her life. Her family is grateful for their care and commitment. She leaves behind a loving family, an incredible circle of friends, and caregivers who all will fondly remember her.

A private grave service was held at Elmwood Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests that a donation be made to Community Bible Study in memory of Frankie. Memorial contributions may be made in Frankie's memory to: Community Bible Study...
