He attended Penobscot Valley High School in Howland. Prior to graduation, he enlisted in the US Army and served in Germany for several years. Allan had a gift for masonary and took great pride in constructing fieldstone fireplaces and walls. He loved country living, along with fishing and hunting.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister Cherry Fuller Valcourt and her husband Jacques Valcourt of Howland,Me., three half brothers Paul H. Dolley of Wilmington,NC., Stephen Fuller of Westfield,Conn., Richard Fuller and wife Mary Lou of Woodstock, Conn., three half sisters, Laura Dolley Lebreton and husband Mark of Milford,Me., Diane Snow and husband Howard of Deming,NM.,and Jane Amaral of East Hartford, Conn., several aunts(a special aunt, Fern Cummings), uncles and cousins. Three very loved nephews, Christopher and Daniel Valcourt of Howland,Me., and Nicholas Paul Dolley of Wilmington, NC.
