Michael Byron Todd, 56 of Gay, GA passed away, Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA.
Michael was born October 8, 1962 in Warm Springs, GA the son of the late Byron Hooks Todd and Anne Massengale Todd. Prior to Michael's illness he was a manufacturing supervisor with several plastic moulding plants.
Michael loved being outdoors, he always said he was closer to God at sunrise. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a former baseball coach for Greenville High School Baseball Team. He had a special group of friends called the Green Jacket Club that played golf together. He loved all sports but especially baseball. When he was unable to play he watched baseball and golf on television.
Michael was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Rocky Mount, GA.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Hoke and Ruby Massengale , S. B. and Willie Ruth Todd and his father Byron Hooks Todd.
He is survived by his wife Kaye Caldwell Todd of Gay; son Joseph Todd of Atlanta, mother Anne Massengale Todd of Gay, GA; sister Dee Ann Todd Cox and her husband Ron of Athens, GA; brother Jeffrey Todd and his wife Carol of LaGrange, GA; nieces and nephews Emily Cox, Will Cox, Caroline Todd and Marshall Todd and many other extended family and friends.
A Service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, Gay, GA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Emory University Hospital Cardiology Department or Angels House in Newnan, GA.
