Mr. Jonathan Bryan Coon, age 76, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022, at North Okaloosa Medical Center. He was born December 26, 1945. Jonathan was Baptist by faith and attended New Harmony Baptist Church. He served his country faithfully in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. He went on to serve for nearly 30 years on a dredge ship as a merchant marine, and during his retirement he enjoyed bee keeping.
Mr. Coon was preceded in death by his parents, John F. and Annie B. Coon; two sisters, Mary King and Katherine Weeks; and two brothers, Roger Coon and Thomas Lundy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, one son, one daughter, one brother, and a number of nieces, nephews, and some other extended family.
Graveside services: 10:00am, Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Cluster Springs Cemetery, with Reverend Todd Camp officiating.
