In 1870 nine-year old Adelaide Carolan lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with her widowed mother Catherine and sisters Catherine, Julia, and Mary. The census states she was attending school. In 1880 she lived at 428 Wharton street in Philadelphia with her widowed mother and sister Mary. She was 19 years old, born Pennsylvania, father born Ireland, mother born Pennsylvania, and worked feeding an Adams cylinder press. According to her burial card she died at St. Catherine's hospital on October 25, 1941, age 65 years, and was buried October 27.
