Marcia Jean Haines, age 68 of Dayton, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 at Friendship Village. She was born February 22, 1949 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Paskel and Veronica Walker.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert Haines; sister, Patricia Haines.

Marcia is survived by her daughters, Catherine (Roger) Grembowski, Sarah (Brian) Denny; sister, Anna (Randy) Whitman; brothers, William Pettit, Charles Pettit (Candy Lockhart); four grandchildren, Anthony and Jonathan Grembowski, Geoffrey and Greg Denny; adopted daughter, Niki Thomas; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 10:30 am at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 4961 Salem Ave, Dayton, OH 45416 with Father Tim Knepper, Celebrant. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am until the time of service. Burial will immediately follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted in Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH 45424.
