Lucy passed away on 7 September 1980 at Memorial Hospital in Sulphur Springs, Hopkins County, Texas, and she was laid to rest at Sulphur Springs City Cemetery, Hopkins County, Texas.

From Dallas; take 30E towards Sulphur Springs, at S.S. take CR 19 N to CR 11 (There is a traffic light at the intersection; CR 11 is also called Houston St). Take CR 11/ Houston St to 7th Street and turn left (North), and the City Cemetery is up on the left side of the road. The first gate is closed, but the second gate is open & you may drive into the cemetery.
Lucy is burried next to her husband, Sam Moore: take first dirt road on the left just after you enter the cemetery. They are burried on the rt just after the cemetery building.
