Clifton and Elaine Woolf were united in marriage on December 7, 1957. Together, they moved around Warrenton many times and raised three children in the area. Elaine was a loving mother to Teresa, Lisa, and Bill. She was best known as "Gram" to her 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, and was always the first to volunteer to babysit.
Elaine was a lifetime homemaker and made sure no one ever left her house hungry. She was extremely thoughtful and enjoyed making quilts for family member's special occasions. Clifton and Elaine spent their years after Clifton's retirement from the military traveling North America in their Winnebago. They were particularly fond of spending time in Mexico.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Ardel and Bernice Groeper; daughter, Teresa Scott; and brother, Roger Groeper.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Clifton; two brothers: Orlyn and Gerald Groeper; daughter, Lisa Mischlispy and husband, John; son, Bill Woolf and wife, Michelle; son-in-law, Gary Scott; 10 grandchildren: Jacob (Meredith), Joshua (Angie), Timothy (Vanessa), Suzanne (Matt), Joseph (Jakky), Mikal (Bryan), Ryan, Elizabeth, Lane, and Devyn (Greg); 18 great-grandchildren; and many lifelong friends.
Her family feels blessed to have been able to share her life with her and enjoy many of her famous chocolate chip cookies over the years. Elaine truly embodied the definition of "perfect" and will be missed by all.
