Jean Thornton Abraham obituary
February 21, 1927 - June 27, 2022
Jean Thornton Abraham went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 27, 2022 at the age of 95 after a brief illness. She was born in Utica, MS on February 21, 1927 to Robert W. Thornton and Julia Powers Thornton. She moved to Vicksburg where she met and married Ernest Abraham. They were married until his death in 1994.

Mrs. Abraham is survived by her son, Raymond Abraham (Lynne); her daughters, Rhonda Abraham and Rene Abraham (Mark); granddaughter, Jessica Williams; a sister, Mexie Goodreau of Thomasville, AL and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert W. Thornton and Julia Powers Thornton; her husband, Ernest Abraham; her sisters, Francis Antoine, Sybil Reaves, Margaret Rowan, Ruth Ann Lloyd; her brother, Robert W Thornton and her grandson-in-law, Ben Williams.
Mrs. Abraham was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her Lebanese cuisine and delicious cream puffs.
She was member of St. George Orthodox Church and enjoyed working on the annual Lebanese dinner.
A private graveside service will be held under the direction of Fisher - Riles Funeral Home.
