OBITUARY
--------------
Amos G. Williams peacefully passed away on June 15, 2022 at the age of 85. Amos was born January 3rd, 1937, in La Junta, CO to Arthur P. and Merry M. Williams.

He and his sister Margie were raised by his Grandmother Edna L. and Grandfather Grover C. Weybright in La Junta, CO from 1941-1944, then by their mother and stepfather Kenneth L Clark in Oregon and Colorado.

Amos enjoyed sports and won trophies in a pool league that went to the Nationals. He played baseball and enjoyed archery. He was a lifetime member of the National American Fishing Club and loved to hunt. He was a loyal member of both the Moose Lodge and American Legion. He served in the Navy and was stationed in San Diego, CA on the USS Helena (CA-75) where for a short time he and his brother Kenneth L. Clark served on the same ship. He was proud to be a veteran. After serving in the Navy, Amos lived with the Jackson family for a short time in San Jose, California, returning to Colorado with them, spending most of the remainder of his life in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. He retired after 33 years with Coors, Golden, CO. Amos was an avid Denver Broncos fan having season tickets from the time they were first offered in the 1960's. He rarely missed a home game!

He was superseded in death by his beloved wife Margaret L Maxfield 1944-1984, younger brother John W. Clark 1949-1986 (Bettie) Pueblo, CO, and in-laws Darel L. Maxfield (1919-2005) and Madge C. Maxfield (1920-2017).

Survivors include his two sisters, a brother, his children, his grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Amos chose to be cremated. Services and a celebration of life will be held July 20th at Crown Hill Mortuary and Cemetery at 9:30 AM followed by a private family military service at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Amos was a kind, gentle loving man with many friends who share the loss. All are welcome to join with the family in the celebration of his life.
