Talmadge Raymond "Red" Wilson

Talmadge Raymond "Red" Wilson, 83, of Alva Community died of heart failure Saturday, April 8, 1995 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Mr. Wilson was a retired farmer and cattleman and was a member of Hopewell Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held at 2:p.m. Monday, April 10, at Garner-Harper Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating ministers were Mrs. Barbara Lott and Dr. W. A. Pennington. Interment was in Parker Cemetery at Alva.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eselle Wilson of Alva, one daughter, Mrs. Judy W. Carroll of Grenada; three sons, Paul Raymond Wilson of Madison, Jerry T. Wilson of Macon, Toby W. Wilson of Alva; three sisters, Mrs. I. V. Spears of Jackson, Mrs. Polly Buford of Greenville, Mrs. Ruby Wilson of Ft. Worth, Texas; two brothers, Lecil Wilson of Arlington, Texas, Charles Wilson of Fort Worth; and 11 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were grandsons; Ramie Carroll, Mark Wilson, Kyle Wilson, Drew Wilson, Brooks Wilson, Clay Wilson and Paul Wilson, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers were Bryant Currington, Oris Norwood, Royce Rosemond, Carroll Hemphill, Tom Middleton, Bill Middleton and Woody McGee.

Garner Harper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
