Arlene (Seefus) Ritner was born on March 30, 1939 in Valley, Ne to Raymond and Iola (Clark) Seefus. Arlene graduated from Valley High School in 1956.

She married George Ritner on May 25, 1957 at the Baptist-Presbyterian Church and settled in Valley.

Arlene and George welcomed their only daughter, Cheryl, to their home in Valley.

Arlene worked at the Pantatorium Cleaners and the Valley Dairy Queen. They built a new house and moved to the King/Ritner family farm east of Valley in 1972 where they continue to live, farm, and raise livestock today.

Her biggest joy was spending time with her daughter Cheryl and son-in-law, Mark. Arlene loved her cats. Her current two are Sammy and Susie. She enjoyed celebrating Holidays and special occasions with family and an occasional trip to the casino. Her tip to other gamblers: was always play the maximum bet.

She is preceded in death by parents Raymond and Iola (Clark) Seefus, Chuck (Helen) Seefus, Larry (Bernice) Seefus.

She is survived by her husband, George Ritner, daughter, Cheryl (Mark) Eckerman, brother-in-law, John Ritner, and Granddog, Charlotte. Nieces and nephews Jennifer Scott, Barb Buchanan, Mark (Pam) Seefus, Patti Bull, and many other relatives and friends.
