BIOGRAPHICAL:
William Bagley was born in Cambridge, Washington County, New York, March 19, 1836 [sic]. He arrived in Coos Bay, Oregon in 1852. He married Ann Susannah Mulkey, born about 1842, probably some time before his move to Amity for the Yamhill County Census of 1870.

OBITUARY:
DIED - OF HEART FAILURE; AFTER LINGERING ILLNESS, WILLIAM BAGLEY SUCCUMBS TO THE INEVITABLE
Salem friends of William Bagley will regret to learn of his death, Tuesday afternoon, at University Park, from heart failure, after a lingering illness of several months duration.
Mr. Bagley was 72 years of age, and an Oregon pioneer, and will be remembered for his sterling qualities of mind and heart and his kindly disposition, as well as for his Christian activity. He had long been a member of the M. E. Church, and his home was a haven of hospitality.
He was preceded to the better world by two of his children, W. H. Bagley and Mrs. Mary E. Burke, both former residents of Salem; and leaves a widow, the cherished companion of many years, now in very poor health, and two daughters, Mrs. T. B. Collamore, of Sumner, Washington, and Mrs. Clara B. Conner, of Ballston, Oregon. Also one son, Rev. A. W. Bagley, of University Park, who all lament the death of a loving husband and father. He left fourteen grandchildren, of whom one, the orphan child of W. H. and E. R. Bagley is a resident of this city. The remains will be brought to Salem on the 11 o'clock train Thursday forenoon, immediately proceeding to the Rural Cemetery for interment. All friends are invited.
