On Sunday, June 13, 2010, our family said our last "I love you's" and "Goodbyes" to Lucille M. "Lu" Egan; she passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family at The Toledo Hospital. Lu was born on September 2, 1925, to Joseph and Marie (Majewski) Aumiller in Toledo, Ohio. She married the love of her life, William Egan on February 15, after dating for only 2 weeks; Lu was his bride for over 63 years. Together they had 7 children. She proudly stayed home to raise them.

Lu loved to cook and and bake; some of her favorites were pumpkin bread, lasagna, snowballs and her famous veggie dip. One of Lu's favorite pasttimes was watching her afternoon 'stories' on the television. Her family meant everything to her and they will be missing her each and every day.

Lu was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Joseph and Malven Aumiller and granddaughter, Vickie. Left to cherish her memory is husband of 63 years, William E. Egan, Sr.; children, Dinny (Jerry) Stopera, Dick (Mary Ann) Egan, Tim (Debbie) Egan, Patti Russell, Shawn Egan, Billy Egan, Jr., and Jennifer (John) Hart; 19 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren; and sister, Phyllis Madden.

Visitation will begin in the David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit St., (419.726.1583) on Thursday, June 17, 2010, from 2-8 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. that evening.

Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Friday, June 18, 2010, with a prayer service at 8:45 a.m. before continuing to St. Hedwig Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be private.

The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the staff of CCU at The Toledo Hospital and especially to Stacie for her compassion and support during our mother's stay. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider St. Hedwig Catholic Church. Condolences may also be left for the family along with photos and words of encouragement at www.jasinfuneralhome.com
