Captain, Supply Corps, USN. Fluent in both the Portuguese and Spanish languages, he served as Logistics Member of the U.S. Naval Mission to Brazil becoming a Capitão-de-fragata, Brazilian Navy. He held a number of important logistic and management assignments along the way, including Planning Officer of Naval Supply Center, Oakland, Supply Officer of Naval Air Station Miramar, Administrator of the Navy Stock Fund, Comptroller of the Defense Atomic Support Agency and finally retiring as Commander, Defense Contract Administration Services Region, Boston. After retirement in 1971 he worked in the banking industry and authored a history of Christopher Columbus
