Fond du Lac Reporter, Tues. Apr. 2, 2002. Felicia E. Abler, a resident of the Villa Loretto Nursing Home, Mount Calvary, for the past two years and a resident of Mount Calvary for many years, died at the nursing home on Saturday evening, Mar. 30, 2002. She was born in Lomira WI, a daughter of the late Conrad and Veronica Braun Buerger. She attended Lomira area schools and was married to Leo Abler on Sept. 4, 1950 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. After their marriage, the couple resided in Mt. Calvary. Felicia was employed at Lillian's Beauty Shop in Fond du Lac before her marriage and loved sewing, gardening, birds and music. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mt. Calvary and the Christian Mothers Society of the church. She is survived by her husband, Leo of Mt. Calvary; one brother, Al (Dolores) Buerger of Fond du Lac; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Thurs. Apr. 4, 2002 at Holy Cross Church in Mt. Calvary, with the Rev. Peter Kutch, pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Fond du Lac, on Friday morning. Visitation will before from 3 until 6 p.m. Thursday, Apr. 4 at Holy Cross Church in Mt. Calvary. Huss Funeral Home in St. Cloud is serving the family.
