Donna Pearl (Phillips) Cooper

Donna Pearl Phillips, the daughter of Lloyd and Marie (Hawkins) Phillips, was born on January 26, 1935 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was Baptized and Confirmed into the Christian Faith in the Methodist Church. She was raised and educated in Dakota City, graduating from Humboldt High School in 1954. Following graduation, she attended AIB in Des Moines.
In 1950, Donna married Carlton Dean Belt, the marriage was dissolved. She then married William Miner. On November 17, 1968, Donna married Hollis Cooper in Sioux Falls, SD. They made their home in Dakota City, other than living for a short time in Rogers, AR.
Donna was an active member of Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt, The Worthwhile Club in Dakota City, BPW, Royal Neighbors, Isaac Walton, and VFW Auxiliary in Dakota City. She was also an avid reader.
Donna passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at North Care Center in Humboldt at the age of 87 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Marie; grandparents, William and Loucina (Harris) Phillips, and Fred and Pearl (Stanbra) Hawkins; husbands, Carlton Dean Belt, William Miner, and Hollis Cooper; stepson, Lloyd Cooper; and grandson, Daniel Lloyd Belt.
Survivors include her sons: Allen (Kathryn) Belt of Park Rapids, MN, Bill (Darlene) Belt of Dakota City, and Edward Belt (Jeannie Earls) of Forest City; daughter-in-law, Jane Belt of Mason City; stepdaughter, Pam (John) Whelchel of Urbandale; step daughter-in-law, Jean Cooper of Collinsville, IL; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 28, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Mason Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service in Humboldt. The burial will be in Union Cemetery in Ottosen, Iowa.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
