H. Roger "Stu" Stuart, 89, of Moorhead, MN died Monday, December 7, 2009 in Innovis Hospital, Fargo, ND.H. Roger "Stu" was born February 6, 1920 in St. Paul, MN to Joseph and Goldie Helin Stuart. He grew up in St. Paul, graduating from Johnson High School. He then attended Macalaster College. On July 11, 1942 he married Evelyn Swenson in St. Paul, MN. They moved to Moorhead in 1952, where they raised their four children. Stu's lifelong career was in sales, including Prudential Insurance, television, radio and advertising sales. After retiring, he worked at the Fargo Country Club for 8 years, which was the job he loved the most. He enjoyed reading, golf, playing and watching sports and the many family pets. He was also an active member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead, MN. Stu is survived by his wife, Evelyn; one daughter, Nancy Stuart, Moorhead, MN; three sons, Michael Sandra Stuart, Tampa, FL, Joel Stuart, Minneapolis, MN and Jim Ann Stuart, Roseville, MN; four grandchildren, Tyler Stuart, Megan Stuart, Pamela Stuart and Rhonda Trevor Dietrich; and three great-grandchildren, Harrison, Madison and Miranda. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Goldie; one brother, Jerry; and a favorite aunt, Edie Helin.
