Yvonne was the seventh of eight children. She loved school and graduated as Valedictorian of Bentonville High School in 1958. Yvonne married John Brandon on August 15, 1959 Healing Springs, Arkansas. They went on to have two daughters – Michele and Nichole. She and John were happily married almost 63 years.
Yvonne came to know the Lord at an early age and was a long-time member of Woodlake Assembly of God. She was passionate about making her house a warm and inviting home and about raising her girls. She absolutely loved being Grams and spending time with her four grandchildren. She rarely missed their sporting events and was also a devoted fan of all things Arkansas Razorbacks.
Yvonne's life was marked by her God-given gifts of hospitality and giving. She loved throwing parties for friends and hosting family dinners. She took every opportunity to meet others' needs and provide help in any way she could. She had a fierce commitment to her faith, family and friends.
Yvonne fought a courageous battle with ovarian cancer that spanned 22 years. Even in the struggle, she considered herself extremely blessed and loved every minute the Lord gave her on this earth.
