Completed her earthly mission at age 96 at the Ashton Living Center. Born in Ashton, Idaho. Daughter of James Arthur Atchley and Rachel A. Shultz Atchley. Grew up on the family ranch east of Ashton. Attended Ashton schools and Albion College. Received a bachelor's degree in teaching from Ricks College in 1957. Married Edwin G. Strange November 26, 1937 at American Falls. Marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple November 16, 1972. Taught school in Warm River and Vernon Schools. Substituted for many schools in Fremont County. Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Served in various Church callings including Sunday school and Relief Society. A devoted mother and grandmother.

Her children Jean (Herb) Hawkins, Jay (Sande) Strange, Janis Draper and Judy (Wayne) Clayton survive. Predeceased by husband brothers Bill, Preston and Alonzo Atchley, half sister Janie, two grandchildren, a granddaughter, and a great granddaughter.

Gravesite Details

Services held Saturday, November 17 at the St. Anthony LDS 4th Ward with Bishop Rick Hill officiating. Burial under the direction of Bidwell Funeral Home.
