W.E. Atkins was married twice. The first time in 1821 to Ruth Starkey who was the mother of his children. After her death he married in 1841 to Sarah Knapp who was a spinster who was about 41 years old. There are no records of that marriage producing children. In 1861 he is living with Sarah in Harby and he is listed as a cordwainer and a Methodist Preacher. William E. Atkins died in 1862 and was buried 21 February 1862 in Harby, Leicestershire.
I took the picture of the grave marker on 29 May 2022 and if someone has a better picture I would be happy to remove this photo of the lichen encrusted stone that he shares with his second wife Sarah.

Gravesite Details
The gravestone is covered in likens and is very, very difficult to read. I used other sources namely an index of the burials and other records to piece together what it says.
