Funeral services for Helen Boss, 83, previously of Chandler, are scheduled for Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home, with Pastor Kevin Lough officiating. Interment is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Boss passed away on June 20, 2022, in Mesquite.

Helen Iola (Monico) Boss was born December 5, 1938, in Dallas, the daughter of Tony Monico and Dessie Mae (Ruff) Monico-Duley. She spent more than 25 years as a cake decorator with Skaggs-Albertsons in Dallas and later for Albertsons in Tyler. After retirement, she was a member of Leagueville Baptist Church in Murchison and worked at the Kidd Jones Gas Station in Chandler. Helen was a talented cook and enjoyed family gatherings, especially during the holidays when she went all out cooking for her loved ones. She was a remarkable wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be remembered as the most loving, caring, and selfless individual- full of love and devotion to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Boss; son, Michael Boss; one sister, and five brothers.

Survivors include her children, Connie Burns and husband Dewayne of Seagoville, Debra Bennett and husband Fred of Carrollton, Dennis Boss of Mesquite, Steven Boss and girlfriend Vondal Stokes of Cumby; brother, Arthur Fullington and wife Mary of Garland; grandchildren, Chris Hulsey, Kevin Hulsey, Tonya Mason, Michael Burns, Alicia Davidson, Latisha Dulworth, Lashawnda Dulworth, Cody Collins, Toni Boss, Brandon Boss, Dustin Boss, Chelsea (Boss) Lopez, Zachary Boss, Kyaih Harless, Chance Boss, Stephanie (Boss) Cook, Dessie Boss, Steven Boss; a multitude of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren as well as her lifelong family member and friend, Alice Boss.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Hulsey, Kevin Hulsey, Brandon Boss, Steven Boss, Josh Cook, and David Gheju.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2022, from 10-11:00 a.m. at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home prior to the service.
