Howard Charles "Chuck" Baldridge, 67, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at the Centralia Fireside Nursing Home.
He was born April 9, 1955 in Peoria, the son of Howard A. Baldridge and Margaret (McAfee) Baldridge. He married Tomi Quick on July 17, 1976 and she preceded him in death on April 22, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Howard and Margaret Baldridge, wife: Tomi Baldridge, a brother: Michael Dawson, and two sisters: Barbara and Sarah. He is survived by his friend Judy, and brother Dale L. Dawson and his wife Janice from Huntsville Alabama.

Chuck was a Centralia High School Graduate of Class of 1973 and he also graduated from the University of Illinois with his Bachelors of Arts. He worked at the First State Bank in Centralia, as well as Hesco Division of MRL in Hoffman, and at Stanford in Salem. In 2000, Chuck helped open and run Midwest Truck Accessories in Mt. Vernon and he later retired in January of 2022.
Chuck was an officer with the Marion County ESDA for 20 years. He was also an Eagle Scout, a Virgil member of the Order of the Arrow (BSA as well as Senior Demolay). He was a member of the Friedens United Church of Christ in Irvington.
Funeral Services for Chuck Baldridge will be held Friday, June 24, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia with Rev. Stacy Tate officiating. Burial will follow at Boyd Cemetery in Boyd. Visitation will be held Friday from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jefferson County Animal Control Department and/or Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618)532-3523, who is honored to be of service to Chuck's Family.
