He was born January 9, 1929, in Caperton, WV, and was the son of the late John Henry and Dollie Stissel Greene.
Mr. Greene was a member of First Baptist Church of Fairlea and was a U. S. Army veteran who served in Germany 1951-1953. He was a printing press technician for the Government Printing Office for 22 years and retired in 1989.
He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, gardening, and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 11 siblings, and wife of 67 years, Charlotte Clowser Greene, who passed in April of this year.
Survivors include his sons, Dennis and Jerry Greene and daughter Teresa Bredeson; grandchildren Scott, Kerri, and Kimberly Bredeson and Justin Greene; great grandchildren Hailey, Sophia, and Jacob Bredeson; and sister Phyllis Jepperson.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday June 25, 2022, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg. Funeral services will follow, with Pastor Ron Miller officiating, and continue to interment at the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, WV.
