Bob passed away on Monday at his home.
He was the son of Robert Anthony, Sr. and Edith M. Myers Guentner.

As the only child of an Air Force Officer, he traveled to a new base approximately every two years, with stories to tell about each place he lived while growing up.

Bob graduated from Robinson High School, Tampa, then attended the University of South Florida with a focus in Engineering. His first job was working with Southern Photo. After a couple years, he started his career working locally in telecommunications for General Telephone Company, retiring in 1996.

In his free time, Bob had a variety of activities and interests. Bob was an Amateur Radio Operator (HAM radio) and was still a member. He earned his private pilot's license for small aircraft. For a few years, Bob loved Square Dancing, so much that he was dancing at several clubs, 5 nights a week! In more recent years, he enjoyed watching the Star Trek series, movies and spin-off series. He was a constant follower of the U.S. Space program. Bob was also an avid fan of the Harry Potter books and films. Bob had a love for cats, always having one or two as companions.

Bob is survived by his sisters: Sue Guentner and Joan Guentner along with several cousins, extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 3pm, at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, 2323 W. Brandon Blvd. Brandon, Florida 33511.
