SHARON ALLEN-PETERSON OBITUARY
Sharon Blanche Allen-Peterson (59) of Roswell, Georgia passed away peacefully at approximately 4:30 am on June 5th, 2022. Born September 4th, 1962 in Indianola, MS, she was the daughter of William Samuel and Norma Lee (Andrews) Allen.

Sharon grew up in the Mississippi Delta and graduated from Indianola Academy. After high school Sharon attended the University of Mississippi in Oxford where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). During her collegiate studies, Sharon spent a semester in Sudbury, Ontario where she was an exchange student at Laurentian University, one of Canada's top Undergraduate Universities. While in Canada Sharon enjoyed learning curling and hockey.

After college graduation Sharon traveled to Atlanta where she served as a paralegal to Trotter, Smith, & Jacob Law Firm from 1987 to 1992 and later worked with GTE, Verizon Wireless, Inc. from 1993 to 1998. Sharon spent the next five years through 2003 as Senior Associate for LOMA, an education and training company for the financial services industry. From 2003 through 2005 Sharon was an Associate with ELI, Inc. where she wrote supporting materials for the company's "Civil Treatment" flagship training program. Sharon married Don Peterson on March 29, 2003 and they made their home in Roswell, Georgia where they gave birth to son Cade J. Peterson in 2004. In 2005 Sharon returned to LOMA as Senior Associate where she wrote an array of life and health insurance products until her retirement in 2014.

Sharon was a prolific writer of poems, short stories and songs. She also enjoyed foreign languages, traveling, tennis, gardening, journaling, pet sitting, and spending time with her friends.

Sharon is survived by her husband Don, son Cade, sisters Linda Allen & Kathy Allen and numerous family members in the Baltimore MD area.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday June 10 at SouthCare Cremation & Funeral Society of Alpharetta. Friends & family are invited to attend and celebrate Sharon's life.
