Born in McAlester, Oklahoma, he was a son of the late Robert G. and Mary O. (Logan) Francis.
Larry graduated from St. Vincent College with a Bachelor of Science in Business and his Masters in Business Administration from Lebanon Valley College.
He served as a U.S. Marine and retired from the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel.
Larry was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Annville where he served as a Lector.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Annville and in Lebanon.
Larry was an avid hunter who enjoyed his free-time tracking deer and preparing for each season.
His interests included: Oklahoma Sooners Football and the Dallas Cowboys.
Larry was a voracious reader and ardent music listener - especially the Beatles.
What brought him (Poppy) the most joy was being a grandfather. Poppy was a regular at all of his grandchildren's competitions and events.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his grandson: Robert Francis Wildasin.
He is survived by his wife of forty-four years: Teresa L. (Shoop) Francis; his daughter: Mary Margaret (Robert) Wildasin; his son: Joseph Robert "J R" (Erica) Francis; his granddaughters: Grace Catherine Francis, Sadie Lynn Wildasin, and Claire Elise Francis; and, his grandsons: Logan John Francis and Alex Joseph Wildasin.
A Visitation will be held from 06:00 - 08:00 PM on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 in Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory, Incorporated, 618 E. Main Street, Annville.
A second Visitation will be held from 09:00 - 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 in St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 125 S. Spruce Street, Annville. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:30 AM on Wednesday with Rev. Kevin Coyle as Celebrant.
Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 12:30 PM.
