Siguiel was a Chumash Native American born at ranchería Aujay (Ojaí) about 1787. He was the son of Siczaeuit (SBV Baptism 01399). His mother's name was not recorded. He assumed the Christian name Julian Vicente [no surname] upon his baptism at Mission San Buenaventura January 22, 1795, when he was about 8 or 9 years old (SBV Baptism 00827). He married [1] Chumash neophyte Marmiliana [no surname] at Mission San Buenaventura May 8, 1806 (SBV Marriage 00480). After her death in 1815 he married [2] Emerenciana [no surname] at Mission San Buenaventura on July 9, 1818 (SBV Marriage 00896). He died at Mission San Buenaventura and was buried in the mission cemetery January 18, 1820 (SBV Death 02310).

The following notation appears on his burial record: "Cayo repentinamente muerto; atribuyéndose su fallecimiento a una grande llaga que le cogía todo el pecho, y había ya penetrado a las partes interiores" (He died suddenly; his death attributed to a large sore that covered his entire chest and that had penetrated his interior parts).
