Funeral services for Clarence C. "Blue Dad" Eppinette, 88, were held at 10:00 AM, Monday, January 21, 2008 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel in Rayville with Reverend Roger Johnson officiating. Interment followed in Rhymes Cemetery, Rhymes, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home in Rayville.

Clarence "Blue Dad" Eppinette was born on January 22, 1919 in Rayville and passed away on Friday, January 18, 2008 after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Eppinette was a retired farmer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and working in his vegetable garden.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cloverdale Eppinette; parents, Fred and Naomie Moore Eppinettte; his brother, Roy Clinton Eppinette.

Survivors include his children, Dorothy Greer and husband, Charles of Rayville, Sue Allen of Rayville, Ed Eppinette and wife, Connie of Rayville, and Buddy Eppinette and wife, Jeanette of Rayville; sisters, Gladys Meeks of Jackson, MS, Doris Zaneski and husband, Ed of Springhill, FL, and Bernice Stuckey of Shreveport; brother, Felix Eppinette and wife, Mary of New Caney, TX; 16-Grandchildren, 40-Great Grandchildren, and 18-Great-Great Grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Corey Eppinette, Chad Eppinette, David Eppinette, Larry Greer, Charles Edward Greer, and Sammy Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Winston Gable and Dr. Gordon Massengale.
