Anson J. Bailey, 84, of Kempton R 2, died Monday in the Laurel Nursing Center, Hamburg R. 1. HIs wife, the former Katie P. Heintzelman, died in July. Born in Albany Township, he was a son of the late Louis S. and Katie A. (Sechler) Bailey. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Jacobs Union Church, Route 143, Jacksonville. Surviving are three daughters, Olive, wife of Raymond H. Werley, Mrs. Marie Reichard and Miriam, wife of Frank Sharkazi, all of Allentown; two sons, Clair and Ernest, both of Orefield R. 2; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Knerr of St. Petersburg, Florida and Mrs. Aurelia McDevitt of Reading; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the John F. Keller Funeral Home, New Tripoli. A calling hour will be 1-2 p.m. Wednesday.
