JONESBORO — Edra Cate, 94, of Jonesboro died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008 at St. Elizabeth's Place.
Born at Laredo, she lived all of her life in Northeast Arkansas. She was a longtime businesswoman and grocer at Jonesboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Cate; her daughter, Anna Beaty; and her son, James Gipson.
She is survived by her son, Art Kent of Windermere, Fla.; a grandson; and four great-grandchildren. She was loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Roller-Farmers Union Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery.
No visitation has been planned.
